I have done true pioneering work in explaining to retailers and customers the valuable potential of Manuka essential oil and honey.
Now I see care products with 'Manuka essence ' or ' Manuka honey extract' even in drugstores. The hype surrounding this valuable health product has also reached the mass market! Just like the hype about aloe vera started a few years ago and you could even buy pillows and silk tights with aloe vera essence.
Only the pure, pure Manuka honey is included
Then I ask myself whether it's still about quality and impact or simply about a striking advertising message. Background: an essence or an extract is not the complete product, but only a part of the valuable whole, e.g. B. diluted or extracted (partially with synthetic solvents).
The products from Living Nature and cobicos contain pure, pure Manuka honey, just as we spread it on our bread or stir it into our tea. Our Manuka honey has a certification from the TU Dresden for its MGO content (methylglyoxal) and the customer can rely on it.
Furthermore, with active ingredients, the concentration used is always important: even a tiny amount is enough to be allowed to be named in the list of ingredients or on the packaging. However, the effect of this substance is rather questionable if less than 0.5% is added.
Significant differences in quality
And then there are quality differences in Manuka honey in terms of methylglyoxal (MGO) content. This MGO is the decisive difference to other types of honey and is responsible for the strong antibacterial and antibiotic-like effect.
In our cobicos products we use organic manuka honey with at least MGO100+, currently even MGO180+. The reason for this is that medical professionals use Manuka honey MGO100+ for wound healing. We use an active ingredient in our high-quality care products that has been shown to be able to regenerate and build up damaged skin.
